Room for everything!
Susan Wasley shows off her great talent for storage solutions in the compact kitchen and powder room of a Collingwood terrace house.
There is absolutely no wasted space and nothing the keen cook needs to go without. Three-tiered pullout drawers and special corner shelves triple the storage space while access is simple and easy.
The kitchen is rendered less of a utility area by extending open shelves into the dining room and with the olive green laminate behind the shelves mirroring the kitchen glass splashback.
Interest is added with two-toned cabinetry and textured white tiles behind a cheeky smart black sink. A pure white Corian benchtop with a thin sharknose edge makes a subtle contrast to the chunky granite island bench: the result is appealingly stylish yet domestic and homely.
A lowered ceiling section has feature uplighting while LED striplights below the overhead cabinets and inside the pantry improve functionality.
