Deciding to build a new kitchen (or indeed any home renovation) can be exciting, but also very confusing.
So many options and so many decisions to be made. Door styles, bench-top materials, tiles or glass splash-back and which size and style of appliances. And there are so many providers of kitchens and cabinets with such varying standards.
From solo cabinetmakers who are good craftsmen, but not designers, to large companies with salespeople who may or may not know anything about design and need to sell what they make. You need someone who can spend as much time with you as it takes to get it right.
COMPLETE DESIGN SERVICE
I will come to your home and discuss your requirements, finishes and colours. I then produce one or two initial design concepts to present you at our next meeting. Here we choose and refine a concept and finalise finishes and colours. At our last meeting you will receive a set of detailed drawings and specifications. For all this an agreed fee is charged but the drawings are yours to keep and with these you will be able to obtain quotes which can be easily compared.

ADVANTAGES OF THIS APPROACH
- I'm not trying to sell you something. I'm not worrying about my commission for selling the kitchen as we would have an agreed fee for the areas needing to be designed. I'm on your side, trying to design the best possible kitchen I can for you (and your budget).
- You save time by only consulting one person. You don't have to keep explaining what it is you want, meeting several people two or three times and then trying to decipher different designs.
- I usually have at least two options for you to consider and then refine one as the ideal solution. You have detailed plans you can study for as long as you like before choosing a manufacturer.
- You save money because everybody is quoting on exactly the same thing. One quote or two, it's up to you.
- I'm happy to help with any kitchen or bathroom project, whether it is a complete new space or working with what you already have, modifying it to optimise storage with a minimal budget.
- This is what I do for a living, every day, and so although it is your problem you've been worrying over for years, I come to it with fresh eyes and years of experience.
- I can advise on colours, materials and finishes, layout, appliances and fittings, prices and time frame without bias towards a preferred supplier or manufacturer. I can give you an honest, independent comparison on all the options you are considering.
- I do have some cabinetmakers and builders I can introduce you to, but I'm just has happy to work with the person you choose. They may even become one of those on my list for introduction to other clients.
- I'm always available for consultation throughout the actual renovation process if needed either by phone or on site as required. I'll be there to help you as much as you need throughout the whole process.
